At HRD Antwerp, the pursuit of knowledge is not limited to the Diamond and Precious Stones Labs. Backed by over 25 years of experience in education, the Education department of HRD Antwerp specialises in organising diamond and gemmology courses in Belgium and all over the world, producing more than 10,000 graduates worldwide.

The strengths of HRD Antwerp – Education:

• Optimum personal guidance (max. 15 students per course).
• 1 microscope per student (depending on the course).
• Up to 120 different stones per course.
• Courses are given all over the world and in various languages: English, Chinese, Turkish, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.

Courses cover areas such as diamond grading, the gemmology of coloured stones and the sorting of rough and polished diamonds. Many of our students come to HRD Antwerp with the aim of graduating as fully-fledged gemmologists. However, HRD Antwerp Education also organises courses abroad, creates tailor-made programmes for individual companies and organisations, runs professional workshops, and offers individual coaching.

You can obtain three different diplomas which are recognised worldwide and have the most value in their kind:

• Certified Diamond Grader: Can be obtained after following the diamond grading course.
• Gemmologist: Can be obtained after following the gemmology programme.
• Graduate Gemmologist: This diploma is earned by those who have both the Certified Diamond Grader and Gemmologist diploma. It is the ultimate achievement of the true diamond and gem professional.
